Our church may be unique to you in that we do not think of church as the place you go on Sunday. We understand the church to bo the community of God's people, defined by Jesus, on mission together. The gospel calls us not only to devotion to Jesus, but also devotion to one another. We believe that missional community is the heart of everything as it is the mission of the gospel that creates community and it is the community that is on mission.
Missional Communities
Our missional communities are our church. In most churches, small groups are one aspect/program of the church with the emphasis being on the Sunday morning service. In our church it is the exact opposite. Our Sunday morning service is one aspect/program of the church with the emphasis being on our missional communities. Sunday Gathering
Despite the emphasis being on missional communities, we do value the larger Sunday gathering. It is a time for serving, giving, singing, praying, learning, and listening. We think of Sunday mornings as a family reunion when all the families (missional communities) come together. We meet each week at the Art Centre of Plano, a diverse art gallery located in the heart of downtown historic Plano.
